We mourn the loss of our brother Roger L. Adams Jr. (HMVFD 543).  Roger was serving in Iraq with the NC National Guard and died as a result of injuries sustained while conducting combat operations.  Roger was a man that devoted his life to selfless service to his country and community. He served as a US Marine for 13 years prior to joining the Guard. Roger was a paid firefighter and has been an active member here for nearly 5 years. He held NC Firefighter I and II certifications, HazMat Operations and was an EMT-B.  Roger most recently served as the Vice President of the Half Moon Board of Directors. A devoted husband and father, FF Adams leaves behind his wife of 13 years and four sons.  We love you Roger, you will always remain in our hearts. Please remember the Adams' family in your prayers.
