| Car accident and LZ set up |
Sat. Feb 20th 2010
Half Moon dispatched for a single vehicle accident. While enroute, 500 is notified that air medical had been activated. 500 arrived on scene and found a single vehicle accident with the driver having injuries. 504 and 505 arrive on scene and assist OCEMS and set up traffic control. 511 arrives on scene and sets up lighting to support operations. 502 arrives on scene and is assigned LZ control. East Care arrived on scene and it was soon realized that primary LZ would not work, LZ was moved to Living Water Church. 500, 502 and 505 relocated to Church and established LZ and OCEMS moved patient to Church. East Care lands, patient is prepared for transport and loaded on bird. Remainder of Half Moon units cleaned up accident area and traffic and returned to station after being released by NCSHP. East Care clears and 500 terminated Half Moon command.
