| Half Moon responds to House fire |
Mon. Apr 5th 2010
Half Moon was dispatched to a mid day structure fire. Smoke coming from Garage. 500 arrived to find a one story house with nothing showing. Upon further investigation 500 found that the residence was full of black smoke. Power shut off and command was established. 1201 arrived assigned to OPS, Eng 504 arrived and crews went interior. They used the thermal camera and pulled a charged handline inside. Fire room was located and found that a candle left in a bathroom had caught the room on fire. Tanker 1207 was nursing Eng 504 . Eng 1204 crews checked out the attic. All clear. smoke removed and water to house turned off. All units released and command terminated, Red Cross called to assist the homeowner.
